Overview Research
Improving medical image guidance, surgical navigation and patient specific treatment through information technology are the primary goals of the Co-Me network. The methodological strengths of the NCCR are simulation, navigation and instrumentation, including robotics. In its third phase (2009-2013) Co-Me concentrates on the challenges of computer aided surgery around the head (CAS-H). It relies on selected clinical problems for driving the technological development and strengthening the clinical and commercial translation. The key questions relate to the reliability and accuracy of intervention procedures, tissue protection with regard to minimal invasive surgery, reduction of tool size and therapy development for clinical routine.

Detailed information on the individual research projects is available at our site PROJECTS.
