Stephan Weiss Wins Student Award

6 October 2003 ---  Stephan Weiss, a PhD student and member of project 6 (ETH Zurich), wins an award for the best presentation by a student during the 2003 meeting of the Swiss, Austrian and German societies for Biomedical Engineering at Salzburg for his contribution "Simulation der Hydrometra mit Hilfe der Methode der Finiten Elemente".

Two Awards of Swiss Society of Radiology to Co-Me Members

6 October 2003 ---  A team with members of project 12 won the 'Jubiläumspreis 2003' of the Swiss Society of Radiology: Thomas Frauenfelder, Mourat Lotfey, Thomas Pfammatter, Borut Marincek an d Simon Wildermuth, Institute of Diagnostic Radiology, University Hospital Zurich, for their work 'Computational Fluid Dynamics: Flow and pressure in Abdominal Aortic Aneurism before and after Stent Graft Implantation'.

Posterpreis 2003 'cum laude' Awarded to a Team of Project 9

6 October 2003 ---  S. Terraz, A. D. Kelekis, A. Roggan, F. Terrier and C. D. Becker, Division of Radiodiagnostic Imagin g & Interventional Radiology, University Hospital of Geneva, received this award for their poster 'Percutaneous Treatment of Liver Tumors with an adapted Probe for Radiofrequency Ablation under Open-Magnet MR-guidance.

W.S. Moore Young Investor Award to Marko Ivancevic

19 August 2003 ---  W.S. Moore Young Investor Award to Marko Ivancevic (University Hospital Geneva) for the best scientific paper during the 11th Meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine for his contribution "Correction of the Inflow Effect on Fast GRE MR Sequence for Perfusion Imaging"
