IMPRESSUM
Homage to Markus Meier
Markus Meier in the cafeteria of the CLA-building at ETH Zurich.

With deep sorrow and concern, the NCCR Co-Me regrets to inform you that Markus Meier died on Sunday, April 17, 2005, by an accident.

Markus Meier, Professor of Machine Design, Head of the Centre of Product Development and Member of the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering has been the Leader of two subprojects concentrating on haptic interfaces for open surgery simulation and on robotics in cardiovascular surgery. With his enthusiasm and exceptional expertise Markus Meier has inspired the entire Co-Me network, and many researchers have profited from his support and advice. We will miss his corporate citizenship in teaching, his professional competence in the exploitation of the scientific results and his spirit of entrepreneurship.

Too early, his successful work has come to an abrupt halt. The Co-Me members will bear Markus Meier in best remembrance.
