The NCCR Co-Me congratulates Hatem Alkadhi, Leader of Project #11.
He has received the Venia Legendi of the Medical Faculty of the
University Zurich.
The topic of Hatem Alkadhi's Venia Legendi was the dynamic imaging of
the mitral and aortic valve with multi-detector row computed
tomography. His research was supported by NCCR Co-Me research grants
for several years.
PD Dr. Hatem Alkadhi's major research interests are advanced
cardiovascular imaging with most recent computed tomography scanners
for a comprehensive diagnosis of cardiovascular disease including
vessel wall analysis and patient-specific flow simulation. This is
accomplished by a close cooperation with the Computer Vision
Laboratory and the Laboratory of Thermodynamics in Emerging
Technologies from the ETH Zurich.
