Bernhard Reber takes over post of Co-Me General Manager

December 1, 2006 ---  On December 1, Bernhard Reber has taken over the position of General Manager of Co-Me after a transitional phase during which the newly elected first "Thomas Straumann Professor für Materialwissenschaft in der Medizin" and former Co-Me General Manager Bert Müller worked side by side with his successor.

Hatem Alkadhi receives Venia Legendi

October 31, 2006 ---  The NCCR Co-Me congratulates Hatem Alkadhi, Leader of Project #11. He has received the Venia Legendi of the Medical Faculty of the University Zurich.

Bert Müller elected first Thomas Straumann Professor for Material Science in Medicine

September 11, 2006 ---  The NCCR Co-Me congratulates the General Manager Bert Müller. He has been elected to chair the first Thomas Straumann Professorship for Material Science in Medicine at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel.

Endoscopic Course for Paranasal Sinus and Skull Base Surgery

September 13-16, 2006 ---  The PSSB provides an excellent, realistic, and fruitful learning environment for all participants. Small groups of two participants will be introduced to different techniques by personal instructors.

Prestigious promotion for Paul Alfred Grützner

August 1, 2006 ---  PD Dr. Paul Alfred Grützner, long-time clinical research partner of Co-Me, has been elected medical director of the Department of Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery at the Katharinenhospital in Stuttgart, Germany. We congratulate our colleague on this prestigious promotion.

Guoyan Zheng wins CAOS 2006 award

July 13, 2006 ---  Best Paper Award given for his podium presentation at the annual CAOS-International meeting.

Strong media interest in TcMRgFUS installation

June 15, 2006 ---  The arrival of the first european research prototype of a Transcranial Magnetic Resonance-guided Focused Ultrasound System at the MR-Center of the University Children's Hospital, Zurich on June, 15th was covered by local and national media.

Harriet Thoeny wins ECR Award 2006

April 5, 2006 ---  Congratulations to our Co-Me research grant winner 2005 PD Dr. Harriet Thoeny, radiologist at the University Hospital Bern. She received the first prize for her scientific presentation "Diffusion-weighted MRI of renal allografts: A comparative study to healthy volunteers" of 2006 European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna, Austria.

Co-Me surgical simulation project at Hannover Messe

February 9, 2006 ---  Co-Me researcher Matthias Harders, head of the Virtual Reality in Medicine Group at the Computer Vision Lab of ETH Zurich is in the spotlight as leader of the hysteroscopy simulator project. The simulator system is going to be a highlight of the Swiss presence at the Hannover Messe (April 24-26, 2006).

Bradley Nelson named Scientific American Research Leader 2005

January 9, 2006 ---  We like to congratulate Co-Me-researcher Bradley J. Nelson of the ETH Zurich for being named "Research Leader"within the "2005, Scientific American 50".
