Philippe Cattin elected Professor for Medical Image Analysis
Philippe Cattin

The NCCR Co-Me congratulates Philippe Cattin. He has been elected to chair the Hansjörg Wyss Professorship for Medical Image Analysis at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel.

Philippe Cattin's prime research interests are image registration, image segmentation, and medical image analysis in general. In his new position at the University of Basel he is going to develop intelligent medical applications.

The new chair was made possible by an endowment from the Swiss entrepreneur Dr. Hansjörg Wyss (Synthes). It is linked to the research focus "Clinical Morphology and Biomedical Engineering" (CMBE) at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel.
