	Co-Me Spin-off makes virtual endoscopy a reality
		November 2007 --- Co-Me member and ETH Zurich engineer Stefan Tuchschmid is taking the helm at the recently founded company VirtaMed. The start-up - Co-Me's fifth commercial spin-off - will market simulation software for endoscopic surgery.


	TechDay with Co-Me participation
		November 30, 2007 --- Co-Me scientists Vartan Kurtcuoglu and Beat Werner participated with three presentations at the first KSL TechDay.


	CTI Medtech-Award 2007: Marco Caversaccio and Guoyan Zheng develop surgical techniques for the implantable hearing system DACS
		October 31, 2007 --- Congratulations! Co-Me researchers PD Dr. med Marco Caversaccio, University Hospital Insel, Bern, and Dr. Guoyan Zheng of the MEM Research Center, Institute for Surgical Technology & Biomechanics of the University of Bern participated strongly in the development of necessary surgical techniques for the implantation of this year's CTI Medtech award-winning DACS-System.


	Philippe Cattin elected Professor for Medical Image Analysis
		September 2007 --- The NCCR Co-Me congratulates Philippe Cattin. He has been elected to chair the Hansjörg Wyss Professorship for Medical Image Analysis at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel.


	Best Poster Award for Benoît Dagon at ISCAS
		August 2007 --- Congratulations! Co-Me member Benoît Dagon has received the 2007 Best Poster Award at the 11th Annual Conference of the International Society for Computer Aided Surgery ISCAS which was part of the CARS 2007 Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery International Congress and Exhibition in Berlin, Germany.


	Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann coordinates European 3D Anatomical Human project
		June 2007 --- Professor Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann, leader of Project 7 and head of MIRALab, University of Geneva, has obtained a Marie Curie Research Training Network entitled 3D Anatomical Human.


	Matthias Harders receives Venia Legendi
		April 2007 --- The NCCR Co-Me congratulates PD Dr. Matthias Harders, leader of Project 4. He has received the Venia Legendi of the ETH Zurich.


	Venia Legendi for Stephen Ferguson
		April 2007 --- The NCCR Co-Me is proud to announce that PD Dr. Stephen Ferguson, leader of Project 9 and sub-project leader in Project 7 has received the Venia Legendi from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bern.


	Openhouse at the Biomaterials Science Center Basel
		March 3, 2007 --- On March 3, 2007 the new Biomaterials Science Center of the University of Basel will present its activities during a day long symposium and open house. The newly elected Thomas Straumann Chairman of Materials Science in Medicine and former Co-Me CEO Bert Müller, PhD is cordially inviting colleagues and interested parties to this day-long event.


	Venia Legendi for Michael Bajka
		Februray 2007 --- The NCCR Co-Me is proud to announce that PD Dr. med. Michael Bajka, leader of Subproject 04/3 Medical expertise has received the Venia Legendi of the Medical Faculty of the University Zurich.


	Katja Nuss receives Co-Me research grant
		January 3, 2007 --- Dr. Katja Nuss, a habilitation candidate in Veterinary Surgery at the Musculoskeletal Research Unit (MSRU), Equine Hospital, Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich, is the receiver of the NCCR Co-Me research grant for the advancement of women 2006.
