Co-Me congratulates Steffen Schumann for his recognition by the
IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (IEEE EMBS) as Europe
Finalist of its 2008 student competition during the annual meeting
which was held in Vancouver, Canada,
August 20-24, 2008. Steffen Schumann is currently working as
a Co-Me PhD student at the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering of
the University of Bern under the supervision of Co-Me researcher
Dr. Guoyan Zheng.
The title of the paper that he submitted to the 2008 student
competition is "Calibration of X-ray radiographs and its feasible
application for 2D/3D reconstruction of the proximal femur". The
co-authors of the paper are Dr. Guoyan Zheng and Professor Lutz-Peter
Nolte.
