Congratulations to the MIRALab team of Co-Me Project
7! They just won the first "Eurographics 2009 Medical Prize" for
their contribution Virtual Hip
Joint: from Computer Graphics to Computer-Assisted Diagnosis.
First author is Co-Me PhD student Caecilia Charbonnier. The
award will be handed over at the Eurographics 2009
conference in Munich/Germany on April 1, 2009.
The Eurographics Association organizes this biannual competition for
researchers and developers who can demonstrate that a particular
benefit has resulted from the use of computer graphics technology in a
medical application that they have produced. The top three winning
entries of the EG 2009 Medical Prize will receive a prize of Euro 500,
300, and 200. All three winning teams will have an opportunity to
present their results at Eurographics 2009.
