Professor Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann, leader of Co-Me project
7 and head of MIRALab,
University of Geneva, received a Dr. Honoris Causa in Natural Sciences
from the Leibniz University of Hannover on 22nd of January 2009. She
was honoured for her outstanding and pioneering work on virtual
humans, a field that Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann initiated in the early
eighties. She further developed a strong agenda of interdisciplinary
research that was considered as early innovation.
